The search for enhanced productivity and reduced costs has led a number of member companies to embrace new HR delivery models with shared services and to outsource/offshore back-office functions. How successful have these new delivery models been in reducing the cost and burden of administrative tasks to enable HR to support higher value strategic work?
This was a key area of focus for our workshop on HR Measurement & Metrics on the 21st of January, hosted by Ericsson, where we explored the various HR Shared Service models that have been implemented by our network members and the resulting impacts on HR delivery, headcount and cost.
Julia Lawrie, HR Services Manager, shared with the group the HR structure at Ericsson and in particular how the Shared Service Centre operates, including successes and challenges.
