The business landscape has changed fundamentally; tomorrow’s environment will be different, but no less rich in possibilities for those who are prepared to accept the dramatic shift from efficiency to a sustainable business agenda.
On the face of it we hear much noise about the importance of HR but surprisingly there still seem to be a bit of divide in the way some Business Leaders view HR. Some argue HR is merely a cost centre that provides operational efficiencies to the business however others firmly believe that HR and the talent agenda needs to firmly sit at the heart of the business strategy for sustainability and competitive advantage.
Against this backdrop the questions for many HR leaders is what their key priorities will be over the next decade and how to measure and articulate the value to the business.
Hosted by Arvinder Dhesi, Group Director of Talent at Aviva this workshop debated accepted theories and examine what needs to change to turn it from aspiration into reality and review the impact on HR and the Talent function. Attendees worked as a group to collectively agree on the top priorities for HR in the next decade and develop a strategic KPI framework allowing you to articulate the value to the business.
