Due to the success of our first Global Webinar in October, we hosted the webinar again on January 19th 2010 This webinar, hosted by Pinstripe and Ochre House, discussed the strategies, challenges and opportunities related to global staffing and recruiting today and in the near future.

Mark Brooker, Staffing Lead Global at Microsoft

Mark Brooker is an HR and staffing professional who has 13 years’ experience working across a diverse range of roles and organizations within the recruitment industry.

He’s responsible for Microsoft’s staffing capability across all its businesses for all countries outside of the US. Mark provides staffing programs and expertise to Microsoft’s talent acquisition teams in the field and is a member of Microsoft’s International Staffing Leadership Team . His main responsibility since being in this role has been leading a global project to redesign Microsoft’s staffing operating model. Mark has been with Microsoft for close to 4 years and previously worked as the EMEA Staffing Manager for Microsoft’s Consumer and On-line business.

David Mason, International Talent Acquisition Director at CH2M Hill

David Mason has over 12 year experience in international talent acquisition and management. He joined CH2M Hill 6 months ago to set up a leading talent acquisition function outside of North America. In particular he is focusing on direct sourcing candidates to ensure CH2M Hill has quality staff to meet their current and future needs.

David has been working in the talent acquisition, management and workforce planning fields for over 12 years, holding a number of both in-house and consultancy roles. Previous major role as the Group Head of Resourcing for AXA’s UK and Ireland operations. He was responsible for both temporary and permanent recruitment covering activity from board to customer service level. Additional in-house roles have included working at BG (Gas), EDS (IT Outsourcing) and the Army. His early career was spent in the Army and highlights included the 1st Gulf War, Jungle Warfare Instructor and leading the “Flying Gunners” – Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team
